物理学是研究物质基本结构、物质间相互作用以及物质最基本最普遍运动形
式的科学。它是现代自然科学和工程技术的基础，其基本理论已渗透在自然科学
的一切领域。以物理学的基础知识为内容的《大学物理》课程，其内容涵盖力学、
热学、电磁学、光学等基本内容，包括了理科学生所必备的基本物理知识，是我
校理科试验班学生的一门重要必修基础课。 
作为理科试验班的《大学物理》课程包括《大学物理I》和《大学物理II》，。
本课程《大学物理I》主要讲授力学中的质点运动学、质点动力学、动量定理、功
和能、刚体运动、狭义相对论、机械振动和机械波，以及热学中的平衡态统计规
律和热力学基本定律等内容。通过该课程的学习，一方面为学生较系统地打好必
要的物理基础，开阔学生视野，激发学生的探索和创新精神，提升学生的科学技
术素养；同时，使学生初步学习了科学的思想方法和研究问题的方法，提高学生
建立物理模型、定性分析和估算与定量计算方面的能力。

Physics is a branch of science which studies the matter and its motion and
behavior through space and time. The one-year course “University Physics”, 
composed of “University Physics I” and “University Physics II”, is designed for the 
first-year undergraduate students to make them familiar with the basic concepts and 
methods used in Physics. The topics covered are mechanics, thermal physics, 
electromagnetism, and optics. The goals of this course are to help the students to 
understand the fundamental physical laws and know how these laws can be applied to 
solve the physical problems.
